Well, simple enough question....
I know it's speculating, but that can't hurt anyone.

Pros for PS3?
Larger disc, more shit on it, more detail, more sex.

- But maybe it will be the same size as the 360, who knows.

Pros for Xbox 360?
DLC...
Xbox Live....

You know, if I had the cash, I would probably shell out on PS3 right now. Even though I have the 360, I am weary of pre-ordering it, just incase it's not as "full bodied" as the PS3 version. If it isn't, I will cry my heart out.

They're about the same. Also, I believe the PS3 is getting its own DLC as well. I've also read the PS3 supports a few more things on-screen at a time (not enough to make a difference).

And I don't see how XBL is a pro compared to PSN... they're about the same, except PSN is free

Blame Microsoft for not incorporating HD DVD into all 360s then. Games like Haze and MGS4 will take full advantage of the extra space afforded by Blu-ray, and they'll also probably take advantage of the fact that EVERY PS3 has a hard drive in it... lets you install some stuff to decrease load times. Not all 360s have hard drives so you can't have installations (except optional ones) and not all 360s have HD DVD (and none have Blu-ray) so you can't use that either.

I've owned both the 360 and the PS3. I ultimately sold the 360 to get a PS3 because its exclusives are more alluring, but really that's it. The 360's a fine console, and it has a fair few things the PS3 should have (e.g. it has the in-game Xbox Guide... Sony's working on the in-game XMB). My only real regret is that I can't play with my friends who have 360s (but now I can play with my friends who have PS3s...)

Plus, MANY more people in my school have 360's, so it'll be fun to be able to play with them. Can't do that with PS3 people, because...there's barely any. So many PS3 people bitch about how XBL isn't free...well, guess what? None of us really care. 50 dollars a year? Oh no... I'd rather have an online service that I pay for that I know is going into making the service or the console better than NOT pay for something and have no idea what work goes into the service. Almost every non-xbox/ps3 site says that Sony's in the shadow of XBL.

The only things I really like on the PS3 are the Wi-Fi, Internet and the Blu-Ray player. But 1) I have a computer with the internet... 2) I don't need hi-definition movies. It's not a big deal to me. Maybe once I get my new 32" 1080p TV, I'll pick up a PS3 later in the year...but no need for it right now.

So, as you can tell, I'm getting the 360 version, and albeit I'll have to get used to the new controller scheme since I played all the other GTA's on my PS2, it's gonna kick ass. Sony made the biggest mistake of all time by not securing it for the PS3. If they had, I'd probably have sold my 360 like Hurricane did and gotten a PS3.

PS3 is getting its downloadable content as well. It ain't as big as the 360 once though.

Also, if you are buying a PS3, just because you are thinking it will be better on it. Then that's pretty damn stupid. But, if you are interested in other games then go for it, PS3 ain't expensive anymore. MS spent 50 millions on this DLC, they ain't stupid to let R* downgrade the 360 version.

If you didn't have a 360, then I would advice you to get the PS3. As this is where GTA is meant to be played No, don't tell me it's the PC.

The lager disk for PS3 means nothing, THe disk is way slower then a DVD9 so on BluRay they print the same data on the disk multiple times. Any way It was developed on the 360 but Ps3 will have split screen so it really depends on how much of a fanboy you are.

And the DLC and Live for the 360 but I herd some where Ps3 is getting DLC too just not as much as 360

A larger disk = more room for uncompressed audio, higher-res graphics etc. MGS4 apparently uses all of the 50GB of a blu-ray.

Even though I love my PS3, if I had to choose now I'd go for the 360.

The two main reasons are:

1) Downlaodable content: once I've finished the game (and I know thats going to take a while) I'd rather get some half decent add-ons rather than replay it again. THE PS3 IS NOT GETTING ANY DLC......MICROSOFT HAS PAID OVER $50 MILLION FOR THE EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS.

2) xBox Live: As much as I love the PS Network, xBox Live is just better.

Maybe because there isn't In-Game XMB, i.e. messaging, inviting friends and listening to music, while In-Game. But, Sony is working on that.

On the DLC front....I'll believe it when I see it. Not saying it wont happen, but wouldn't Sony be letting everyone know that before the game comes out, one little paragraph in a magazine isn't the best way of getting that news out there.

The general populace only knows about the DLC on the Microsoft side of things, Sony must be fucking up big time if they aren't bothering to let everyone know they'll have some DLC as well.

(Just read that paragraph, it says 'reportedly adding [refernce to Jerronimo Berrera] that the PS3 will likely get its own downlaodable content'. Obviously official then.)

(And note when I say 'DLC' I mean something that will make me play the game again, not new clothes or guns).

xBox Live is just a lot easier to use, has slightly better features, is a lot more stable, its got achievements (not that I really care about that) and its pretty much hassle free.

PSNetwork has been fine, but when you use both over a period of time, Live wins it.
