a worthy purchase for the PC? online reviews are wildly different from each other, some hate it, some love it. what do you bf2s'ers think?
The beta sucked. There's an MP Demo coming out pretty soon, I think. April something or other. I'm not shure.
elaborate, what sucked about it?The_Mac wrote:

Why a publisher would release the demo after the game is out in stores is beyond me.
The beta was pretty average. The tech system wasn't exactly fun to use. The classes seemed generic. The "Frontline" system just seemed all too similar to Project Reality's AAS gamemode. The vehicles themselves felt lacklustre too. Overall, it just seemed to lack anything to make it stand out.
Everything felt clunky. I felt like I had to grasp my mouse, because a tiny movement would flicker it around the damned screen, making me become Ack Ack Gun #1.jamiet757 wrote:

I tried the drone movements, soon crashed. Teh uber hax pwned me a couple times. Vehicles were lamez0rz. I didn't even see the good graphics. I had shit max'd out and I was thinking, "Wow this is like 2006."
Maybe its better now. I think bugs are a major factor in a game, and they run rampant in Frontlines right now. I'd check the demo, wait for a patch, and then get the game.

I think the doctor was hinting at why they don´t release the demo BEFORE they release the game, so that people can try it out and get interested to buy it once it hit the shelves.Jenspm wrote:

I haven't played the game but according to some people in the FFoW forum, bugs plague the game. In observation, the game was released way before it was ready too.
When BF2 was first released, people couldn't run the game, took about thirty minutes to find a good server because of the bad server browser ect, ect.
Give it time but I think the game will lose its luster before a good amount of bugs are eliminated.
