Can't stand the taste of beer, and I don't see the point of getting drunk or anything. I prefer Cider, or JD on the odd occassion.
Taste, which is why I don't drink much.
i'll have a couple after a long day for the taste, it relaxes you but i wouldn't call it drunk. if i wanted to get drunk i would break out the bourbon.

If I'm the driver that night and us fella's are off out I tend to drink coke as it tastes better than non alcho beer. If I want non alcho cider (I dont drink normal beer, just cider) then apple juice it is.
I'm lucky to the extent I can still have a good night on just coke but you don't get the regrets the next morning which is something I enjoy. Even though I know I can have a good night it is just about always guaranteed when I'm smashed.

It took several years to acquire a taste for beer. In my twenties, I drank beer for the effects, now I appreciate the tastes. I leave hard liquour for the effects.

I don't like the taste, while I do drink, so that means I am more after the effects than the taste.

But really, you guys don't like beer? I never did until I browsed around and tried different stuff and found what I liked. I'm sure there's bound to be something out there you like. I hated beer for the longest time because all I would have was Corona, Bud Light, Miller Lite. Lately I've been into Newcastle, that stuff is great (technically ale I suppose). Amstel light is also good.
To each their own... I don't hate people for liking beer, I just personally hate it. And I'll keep trying it... (mostly out of ease-of-access ) so someday I may begin to like it.

Although, it's hard to say if i'd drink some of the beers I like, if they had no alcohol.
My Girlfriend, however, LOVES the taste of beer. The alcohol is merely an added bonus for her.
I'm more of a liquor drinker myself, but there are times, where a good beer is fine too.
I never liked beer when I drank. HATED IT. I drank whiskey or rum with coke.
