I'm an only child.

Good:

More presents at Christmas. More time to think in peace. More attention from parents when younger.

Bad:

Lonely growing up. Lack sharing skills to a point, though I will always help out a friend.

one older brother, just a year older.  We are fairly close too, don't often fight or argue.

good: i usually get things when he gets them so i get them a year early
once he does stuff, its easier for my parents to ease into the idea of me doing them i.e. drinking

bad: idk lul? i guess we have to share stuff but thats not too bad most of the time

If you count half-siblings:

6 brothers (3 of which were old enough that I didn't ever live in the same house, but we were in the same town.)
3 sisters

Good: 
-I have a family.  I don't talk to a few of them , but I cherish all of them.  ...always felt sorry for "only" children.
-If my life fell apart today, I'd have a place to go that would take me.
-My older siblings were a little wild.  I was the 'smart kid' and when you put that with two parents tired of troublesome kids, it meant I could do  pretty much whatever I wanted.  Never had a curfew.  Never grounded.
-Having nieces and nephews.
-I'm sure there's more

Bad:
-I only knew hand-me-downs until I was the oldest male child.
-It made me a bit stingy.  I prefer to have my own space, my own time etc.
-We were poor, and poor+big family sucks.  So does all the shit that poor kids put up with.
-Guilt by association sucks.  One older brother was/is nothing but trouble, so growing up under his shadow was no fun.
-Very few have made the trip to see me at MY house.  It's a financial issue at the core, but it still sucks.
-I'm sure there's more.
