FYI: I think that the site name was debated for something like 3 pages in a thread ...Cyrax-Sektor wrote:

Sounds like a cool idea, but why on earth did you choose the cliche name "trackr"? Flickr did something clever with their name and now everyone is blatantly ripping it off. I literally cringe every time another startup springs up that thinks it's trendy or cool to remove that vowel before the "r" or abuse the .us domain (e.g. "Trackulo.us"). I apologize if I am coming off as abrasive. That's just my opinion on the whole "Web 2.0" shit storm.
That's not the point. So many startups are doing this it has become extremely cliche. There's no way around it. The name "Trackr" is just copying "Flickr". Startups follow these trends all the time to leech off the success of someone who actually innovated. When del.icio.us came out, everyone decided to be "clever" and find some way to use the .us domain as part of their app name. The point is that it doesn't matter if only few sites following these trends are successful. The point is that it is a trend - and an extremely unoriginal and worn-out one at that. I'm not saying that you have to be a trendsetter or actually innovate, I'm just saying that you shouldn't blatantly copy someone else's brand.Cyrax-Sektor wrote:

Regardless, I will still use the system even if I have to cringe every time I type in the url...unless of course the page is plastered with "Beta!" tags, glossy text, and gradients.
I'm not telling you what to do, I'm just offering my insight.

And, we'll be needing a new tag, [BF2s] -> ? [tkr] ?
Just have it as "trackr" seeing as theres enough letters to fill out the tag, just without brackets nowBf2-GeneralArnott wrote:

Trackr isn't complete, so its going to change over the coming months for bugs, user friendliness, additions, etc etc. Profile pages are the best exampleM.O.A.B wrote:
