I play it, but it's almost too slow to develop short multiplayer strategies for.

I played it when it first was released, and enjoyed it very much... but it hasn't maintained my interest very well. The games and pace are nice and tactically slow; it's just that I need to be in a very specific mood to want to play such a game .

Not really, probably around 2 hours. It's a slow game, but gets much better once you start raking in credits/metal/crystal.

I guess. Strategy games are meant to take time though. They arent mean to be the 5 minute rush fests that starcraft and C&C3 are.

Well it takes probably a good 10 minutes to start getting planets and another hour to develop them, research about stuff, and take over other planets.

I'm more of a fortifier than anything. I like to get 5 or 6 planets then sit there and build my resources and fleets. But that gets me in trouble too. I put most of my troops at one planet, so when another one gets attacked, I'm screwed. I'm still learning the ropes, so this weekend I'm going to try and play a full game. (1-3 hours)
