[Diablo II] Crash at start

I just bought Diablo II after I lost my old disks and now the game wont even start. When it starts it just goes to a black screen with a dumb white rectangle in the top left and when I try to end the process my computer goes to this blue screen (not BSOD) and then the computer restarts before I can read anything on it.

Any suggestions

EDIT: Maybe it was a BSOD, it did say that Nv4_disp failed so it might be a bsod that i have never seen before

Im Running XP and I have an 8600GT so I dont have any problems running games, just this one

Well its not my card, i just got the npatch from the website and it works. (so simple) They could have just told me to patch it and I would have
