Uh yeah it does. It auto-detects my settings and reminds me I need my AMD dual core patch to be able to take advantage of my dual core system.

Doesn't support two cores.
Thats benchmarks not system requirments
That shows duel cores at most betters background application management, and that the game isn't using both cores in any meaningful way.

In the same link you posted under CoH not having dual core support, there is a performance gain, albeit not much.

Because your computer can allocate background processes that normally would have run on the same core as the game to the second core, freeing up more of the core the game is running on for the game. I can't find anything saying the game itself can run on two cores.

I'm pretty sure I remember the devs saying physics ran on a separate thread.

That would be cool if it did...but I can't find anything. Maybe you would have more luck than me.

"Indeed it does, CoH is no different from any other recently released game which makes use of multicore CPU's to split the workload for sound, animation, physics etc."

Straight from the developer's mouth.

I got it a while back, don't play online though.  Because of school, I haven't even had time to beat the single player.

SO your saying that COH is only one of my 4 cores? which each run at 2.4GHZ...theres no way that is happening, im able to crank the game to nearly max and its still nice and smooth.

I guess so...I don't know what other released games makes use of multicores though.

GHz is overrated now adays, there really is no way to simply judge a core by how many GHz it has, but its memory cache, and Intel's recent procs have a HEFT cache of L2 memory.

I've played hundreds of hours of CoH (About 200 of them are from OF). I'd sure be interested in a game with some of you guys. Maybe we could get a 4vs4 going on?

I'd be up for a game with you guys. I absolutley love Company of Heroes, and I can pretty much do well with any army except the Americans. Boy, do they suck.

We should set up a big game or two. Maybe a 3v3 or a 4v4

Don't worry, I have 80 wins and 38 losses so I don't suck

Xfire: Killaer, tell me if anyone wants to get some games going.
