So i got my Frontlines Fuel of war special edition today

Well anyways i cranked the graphics to max...i thought my pc would take it.

My specs are:

Q6600
4GB PC 6400
8800GTS 320MB

Recommended are:

Core 2 due E6400
1.5 GB ram
8600GTX

So anyways im playing and every 10 seconds i get a freeze that lasts like 5 seconds then it goes over and over.. so i lowered the graphics to lowest and it works fine, so i slaps the details slowly up and as i get to the hardcore settings it wont have it..but it plays perfectly smooth on max but it just GODDAM FREEZES!!!!
I have the latest drivers...

Can anyone help me please?

Wait for a patch?

Seems to be a common issue with 8800 cards.

"Now a word to the NVIDIA GeForce 8 Series users of the world: turn the foliage setting all the way down if you're running the game on "very high." There is apparently some optimization that needs to be done with the latest NVIDIA driver, because as it is now the game hangs intermittently for a few seconds if the foliage setting is turned up. It's a combination of a complex foliage system that is a bit over the head of the 8 Series and a lacking driver. We've seen this mentioned in the game's forums and have spoken to the developer who is expecting a partial remedy for the issue shortly."

Lower the usual culprits first:

Post-Processing Effects
Shader Quality
Shadows
etc.

To determine if its the game engine / .exe causing the performance issues. I haven't played Fuel of War so I don't have any knowledge of the graphics menus... just naming the usual culprits of huge system load. If the game performance increases after altering those, then you can safely assume that it's just terribly inefficient coding and performance of the game-engine.

Otherwise, update Direct X... consider also rolling back your graphics card drivers or trying a different version (some driver versions are temperamental with certain games / applications).

Sadly can't be of much help as I have no specific experience with Fuel of War. Otherwise I could run it on my rig here (which has slightly higher specs all-round but still same basic combination of quad-core / dx10 8-series / 4gb ram) and see how it ran comparatively.

That whole game is stupid. I played the beta, and it failed worse than the Crysis beta.
I know it was just a beta, but I doubt very few improvements were made.

Lol. I was looking at the box a couple minutes ago and thought, "8600GTX? WTF?!".

The game seemed to play alright on my 8800 GTS, it's just that the game is as boring as turtles fucking, and the controls/ options in the game blows.

This game has the stink of consoles all over it.

Crysis raped in every sence of the word...as long as you dont think about the multiplayer. How the hell could Crytek fuck that up, TWICE?

Wow, if it struggles on that, it'll fail on my 5-year old card.
