BF2142 1.4 patch WTF

so i havent played this game since...god knows when. I reinstalled and got the latest patch (1.4). Now when i try to join a server it says..."this server uses unmodified content. Please revert yours to the original version."

I've been searching all damn day to figure this out. +1 for help.

LoL that is what happened to me. i just gave up. i hadn't installed it since then aswell, reinstalled tryed every source for the patch and same thing.

im gonna buy a new disc anyway.

i hope someone helps here aswell, lots of my clan is playing this sometimes.

Try reinstalling the patch. Or reinstall the game, and try downloading a complete patch (all patches is one).

i had this problem after dling 1.41 with NS. to fix it, just reinstall 1.41 and it should work but i got BF2 working again (finally!) so i don't play it much any more

There is no 1.41 patch for 2142 ...

Try downloading a new patch from http://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/BF2142/

patch 1.40 is the latest for 2142 afaik,
1.41 is for bf2..

1.40 ruined the game completely.

They destroyed on of the most fun weapons to play with, the Clark, they fucking noobified it.

It's 100% voss and clark fest now. Better off playing good old BF2.

If you still have problems with 2142 after reinstall both by the build in uninstall and the manually, after repatching and after updating punkbuster both automatically and manually there really isn't much more we can help you with ...

I had the same problems after patch 1.2 and wasn't able to play 2142 until the 1.4 patch came along ...

Last resort is of course to check the inside of your comp, those dust bunnies can cause all sort of problems unexpected
