Well I played the demo and well I hate rpgs as much as I hate hiliary Clinton, but i fucking loved the demo and i was wonder if the bugs have been worked out by the patchs? If so, should i get the game?

Bugs aren't that big of an issue. The only problem I encountered was the automatic settings being set too high.

Get it.

The game isn't an RPG (or at least i certainly wouldn't call it one and i love the genre). It's far more like an FPS, just with a few meagre stats you can upgrade.

The game itself isn't that bad, although quite short (finished in about 7 hrs, excluding the invincible spider boss bug ). Personally i didn't get any replay value out of it because the only reason to replay the game can be alleviated by one save near the end of the game. Never played the multiplayer, but from what i heard it was extremely unbalanced with the mage being insanely better then the other classes.

If you can get it cheaply or free , then it's not bad but otherwise i wouldn't bother.

That's what made it fun, tbh.

I played through ~three times - once for each "Class" (If you can call them that)

It just had a lower learning curve. Until you actually get any class upgrades, Its actually weaker than just about everything.

And any Warrior that bothers to use Safeguard can deflect all your spells anyway. All it comes down to is how you spend your ability points.

Even with all my praise, I have you agree with you there.

Foxx is right. It is more of an FPS than an RPG. What few stats there are are more like weapon upgrades than anything. If you want a truer blend, VTM: Bloodlines is closer to FPS/RPG.

The singleplayer aspect (especially when you beat the game and go back and console-summon about 50 goblins into one area and beat them all to death with a staff), of Dark Messiah is much more enjoyable than the multiplayer aspect, which is far too steeply in veterans' favor, matches being far too short for newbies to find proper point spending balance.

More of an RPG than FPS? I think not.
