Nice!
Only thing that makes me feel *bleh* is the groups. It's a good idea but i'm scared about people abusing of groups... Like creating one called ''For The Lulz'' then another one ''Me Want Karma'' then ''Trackr < BF2s'' etc...

did Chuy not say that you have to do the reset password thing to login on the account you use for bf2s?Flaming_Maniac wrote:

Could people not do a shared Rapidshare account thing? It is what i would do if i could pay for it. people take turns paying for the account and everyone use it or something similar, and if this is allowed i would pay aswell.kylef wrote:
Assuming it is entirely legal (ie patches, game updates) then it is likely that trackr will supply links to official download sites, or possible third party sites also. I might start hosting a bit on Rapidshare to those who benefit from premium use. I'm not entirely sure whether trackr will host these things themselves though.PhaxeNor wrote:
Q:
How will the download section be? Will we be able to request new links? Is there categories for downloads or a single page?
Can we please reserve nicks?Flaming_Maniac wrote:

Will I have to make a new forum account on trackr?
No. I've scraped together a script which will import usernames, email addresses and registration dates from pun to drupal. However, passwords will not be copied over. You will need to use the "recover my password" feature to set a new password.

There are no plans for trackr to host these, rather we have an section of the site that lists files, provides descriptions of the files, and links to multiple download sites. The files are categorized according to game, for example the BF2 category will have the 1.41 patch, the latest PR, the BF2 Oman Demo, etc.kylef wrote:

Will mod history be carried over?
No, but this doesn't mean it goes away.
