where can i see what version of CoH i am running? I need to do manual updates, because the official one just... isn't going. Can someone tell me how to find which version i'm running?

Accessing the ingame console should tell you, like it does in CoD4.
I forgot the rest of the title... if a mod wants to put "version number location?" after the current title, that would clarify things. thanks.

Buy Opposing Fronts then lol and you wont have the huge downloads.
Look at bottom of screen when you load up the game, should say version there, or top corner i cant remember.
