Ok....
I had to quick-shut my computer after the checkpoint save took over 5 minutes. (pressing the on button)
When I re-started it, there was no singleplayer history at all!!!!!
I just finished core and was about to look for the marines.
what happened?

If you just finished core maybe the game was autosaving? Corrupted the save files somehow.

You should be able to download another save or cheat to level skip, I don't know.

That same thing happened to me with Far Cry, but I never could get it resolved.

Do you run Vista? If so, go to start > Documents and open \My Games\Crysis\SaveGames. If it's all empty in there the files were deleted for some reason.. corruption maybe. If you're under XP find the Crysis savegames directory elsewhere. Also, patch 1.1 seems to have corrupted saving games a lot.. Might try incrysis.com/forums to look for more answers.

I lost all mine when my computer crashed, but you can get to your saved games and make a new account then re-save the files back where they were.
