lol tf2s sound le leet
Wow this is news! BF2 and bf2s go hand-in-hand for me, pretty much. I had first played BF2 a few weeks after it came out. It was about 6 months after I left the US Marine Corps. My friend set me down and I played at Kubra Dam and was totally blown away! After a few rounds, I quit the game and then he showed me bf2s.... the stats. I was instantly hooked. Up to this point I had never joined an "online community." I have learned more about myself and the world than I could have imagined, from an "online community", internets, lulz, etc. for that thank you bf2s.com and everyone that has positively added to it.
I think the bf2s name limits its growth, too. So Im looking forward to trackr.... I think we all know it will be a kickass site.
Way to go Jeff and Company... Looking forward to the future! Again thanks for everything!
All the Best,
Ian aka (T)eflon(S)hadow

The "wiki" is called the "library" on Trackr, and content is already being populated in six "books" from the quality posts you guys are putting on BF2s.

In the opening post of this thread, Jeff wrote "In a few months ... ", so take that as the official word.
Summer/Fall is like June through October, meaning alot of room in between. Rough estimate if you will.OrangeHound wrote:

New sig of celebration
Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me
The usergroups and reviews remind me of VBulliten.
Sounds good to me.
Thing I'm wondering (and if it's mentioned earlier in this thread, sorry..I'm in a rush) - would BF2s members get some kind of recognition title (sort of like the Tech Team, BF2s Game Admin, Wiki Team userbars we have now) that shows they were there from the beginning?
Just a thought.
Sounds good to me.

I personally can't wait. bf2s was my first forum, and one out of three I regularly visit. This site has been such a huge part of my life; I've learned countless things - about computer hardware, programs, making fun of people online, firearms, politics...

Don't know ... at present trackr has NO badges, and there hasn't been any discussion about badges. Although I am assuming that badges will be on trackr.Poseidon wrote:

Well, anything really. Sort of like the veteran badge that people who played BF2 got in BF2142.OrangeHound wrote:

They worked though (in 2142).

Resourceful users can figure out their post counts by using the "Search" tool ... well, users with names of 3 letters or more.Mitch wrote:

LT, the forums aren't going to be destroyed, but posting and registration will be disabled.
Or maybe a fancy looking User Title Bar that shows which members where part of the BF2S community.
I guess you wouldn't want to do everyone though, maybe... people who have been year a year or more? and still active.
We've been with you much longer then anyone whos gunna sign up at Trackr for game discussion.
what's the big deal? do you guys really think that at this point we're going to be bragging about fucking post counts? it just interests me to see how many times i, and others, have posted here. plus i only have 2 letters in my name.OrangeHound wrote:

I put forth the formal suggestion for the General Chatter forum area be called the Junk Drawer on the aforementioned site.
