So I downloaded the Crysis Demo off Fileplanet, installed, not a single problem....except there is no link to me to start the demo..
Where did you install it too? Look in that program folder..?
go to where you downloaded it and there should be an exe. file create shortcut put it on desktop. if you cant find one reinstall if that doesnt work youll have to download it again.
Did a start menu search, all I found was the file that need to be extracted and installed...which has been done already a few times.
Downloading again from Fileplanet, see what happens now..
Which OS?
Vista, and I am installing again now from a different link. We'll see what happens.
Well now I am missing a critical windows update. So I click update now, and it takes me to this page.

i don't think there was a shortcut for me either...just go to the directory where you installed it...most likely C:\Program Files [or Program Files (x86) if you have 64-bit Vista installed]\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin32 (or if you want to run the 64-bit version, it will be in Bin64). Then, click Crysis.exe or Crysisdemo.exe, one or the other will be there. If they are both there (which i don't think will happen), use Crysis.exe

It'll most likely be in the Games section then (Start menu > Games). Vista is odd like that.
