Newell probably says that because its harder to program and since HL1 i doubt he has programmed a single thing. Memory allocation and threads etc sound like they are harder on the PS3 because it has so many cores.stef10 wrote:

microsoft should be hit right in the balls by threating costumers as they are doing.
Businesses are there to make money, not to do what's "honourable" or "right".stef10 wrote:

people say its a dumb excuse the developers are coming it. Sony has given tons of help-programs for making it easy. I really lost my respect for valve.Vilham wrote:

It's actually a factual comment. So you can calm yourself down.stef10 wrote:

It's what people like you, you know, the EA are bad and evil OMG crowd fail to realise. They have staff to pay, investors to think of.

i wonder if splinter cell: conviction will always be an exclusive.
At this point, I think I should redirect you all to metacritic.com.
It takes an average of a large number of reviews for each game, as well as user reviews.
The top exclusive on 360 is gears of war. Scores 9.4 on official reviews, 8.4 on user ratings.
halo 3 also 9.4 official, but only 7.4 on user reviews
PS3 top exclusives:
Ratchet and Clank 8.8 official, however 8.9 on user reviews, higher than any of the 360 exclusives. With a lot more big name exclusives to come.
Hence, officially 360 has better games atm, but not according to their users.
But the PS3 is definitely the console for the future

I've played both. The 360 takes it away here, though. The PS3 just didn't live up to the hype for me. But, then again... the PS2 was pretty bad as well. I had a PS1, then I gave up with sony, and got an Xbox.
lol... did you just call the most successful console ever bad?iPwnerrrr wrote:

PS3, better games, free internet, AND i have one.

Free internet, there's what we can salvage from that.
600 bucks free?
Ok, maybe not BETTER games, but good games like Resistance, and me having one, so all you guys cn play with me!andy12 wrote:

I sure hope you are not referring to Resistance: Fall of Man which failed miserably !
Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me
360. Best games right now. And good online
PS3 pros - light controller design, better controller design in my opinion, much much much quieter, PS3 online is free and now that they've fixed it for COD4 I have no complaints, not quite the horrible fail rate that the xbox has
Xbox 360 pros - arguably a better selection of games (at this point), xbox live
I have both and I find myself on the PS3 more often, probably because I like the controllers better and it doesn't hurt that I don't need another fan to keep it from burning a hole in the side of my wall

Failed miserably? It was the best ever launch game for any console, have you even played it?FloppY_ wrote:

Also:
Source! As is the case with most batches of platform-launch games, critics weren't especially kind to the titles that debuted alongside the PlayStation 3. According to Metacritic, the most consistently well-reviewed launch title for the platform was Resistance: Fall of Man. Developed by Ratchet & Clank creators Insomniac Games, the title blended science fiction and Harry Turtledove-esque alternate history, portraying an alien invasion of England in the 1950s--after World War II didn't happen.
According to industry-research group NPD Funworld, Resistance was a solid seller, moving nearly 791,000 copies domestically as of November 2007. Little wonder, then, that as rumored, the acclaimed game is getting sequel treatment. The February edition of Game Informer reveals that yes, Insomniac is hard at work on a sequel, tentatively titled Resistance 2.
According to the magazine, Resistance 2 will support two campaigns, multiplayer battles of up to 60 people, and eight-person online co-op play. Unconfirmed reports say the game will support three character classes--including a heavy weapons, special operations, and the all-important medic. It will also incorporate vehicles, including the alien-built Stalker, which will have cloaking abilities.
FUCK YEA!!!

I have to give it to the PS3: You don't have to pay for the online service, which is cool, and at least they can make a console that doesn't break (which doesn't seem like it should be that hard).
However, the 360 just seems more fun to me. Better games (which is a personal opinion, yes) and more friends. Personally, I don't buy a console because of it's amazing technological prowess, I buy whichever I will get more fun out of. And for me, that's the 360.
