i got it for christmas and just beat campaign (got hayabusa armor!! w00t) but i was lookin up the skulls on halopedia so i saw that there was a custscene after credits so it didnt surprise me much....

but on wikipedia i found it saying that "Halo 3 is the third and FINAL installment of the Halo Trilogy"
and then again the last cutscene he says "Wake me when u need me" and then its all over.....

so after all that stuff i just said...pardon the bad wording....do u think there will be a Halo 4?

I think there will be, simply because of the amount of money it would generate, but I seriously doubt that it follow the same story line as the Masterchief in the original 3.  Besides, Halo Wars is coming out soon anyways, so that should be able to tide you over till then.

bungie bought themselves away from microsoft shortly after H3 was launched so they could make other games. however, they did say that "the halo franchise is still alive". i think there will be a lul, and halo will come back in 4-ish years. not including the already announced "Halo Wars" RTS scheduled for 2008.
