It's true. You show someone a documentary of people climbing Mount Everest with real footage and they yawn and fall asleep. Then you show them a  fictional drama about people climbing a mountain and they get all excited.

Man vs. Wild was re-edited in response to the criticisms, with an opening disclaimer, altered voiceover, and removed footage. A few of the edits made in response to the criticism of the show are:[20]

    * In the Everglades episode, Bear admits that the crew helped him build his shelter.
    * In the Iceland episode, Bear admits that the dead sheep was left by a local farmer so that he could use it for a demonstration.
    * In the Mexico episode, Bear admits that he used climbing equipment during a climb, and that the trout he caught was placed there by the crew.

    * In the Scotland episode, Bear admits that the sheep was placed there by the crew.
    * In the Sierra Nevada episode, Bear admits that the crew helped him build a raft.
    * In the Alaska episode, Bear admits that a crewman caught the salmon he ate as well as having the boat which rescues him at the end as being 'sent' to pick him up.
    * In the Australia episode, Bear says that he did not spend the night out in the thunderstorm.

That's just standard SAS training.  Except that the SAS is better equipped and cook their fish first.

How is Bear "full of shit"? He never claims that he's doing this all on his own. He is fucking talking to the camera crew on several occaisions so I don't believe he's not supposed to acknowledge them or their part in the show.

Survivorman = like watching a guy out in the wild actually trying to survive as if in real situation
Man vs. Wild = watching TV that has been edited and planned to be entertaining

Oh my, Bear this and Bear that, its obvious that most of you are a bunch of ignorant pussy's who couldn't do a one hundredth of what he knows and is capable of doing, bunch of haters! Yes its a TV show and a learning experience but by the sound of things you guys could do better. Get a life, LOL.

I watched Survivorman yesterday, it was actually pretty epic if the stuff about Bear is true. Man Vs. Wild is still good though, even if it's got Hollywood flair I couldn't do 1% of what Bear does except take shits, piss, and breathe.
