[STALKER] How do you play?

For anyone who plays stalker, What of the following do you do:

1. Horde all weapons and ammo you find, even if you're probably never going to use them because your gun is way cooler!
2. Actually use artifacts
3. Find that the artifacts actually hinder you and you're buff enough without them
4. Ask for as many side-missions as you can
5. Just do the basic story-line missions
6. Poop yourself everytime you have to go into a dark basement and some creature roars!
7. WTF is STALKER?
8. Patch the game

1. Lulz guns, and I try and use them too, I have like 2000 rounds of various pistol ammo.
2. +Endurance and +Health FTW
4. Makes the game longer
5. But usually only to advance into different zones.

I have two Saves, one for the Trainer and one without.

For those who don't know what a trainer is (not a shoe) its pretty much a cheat menu where you can toggle different cheats, like no carry load and invinsibility.

Its pretty fun.

So I can do all the things in the OP.

Revived for my interest.-

I am as far as I can go with the option of turning back. (I have beat it, then its over) I collect all Rare weapons, rare armors, and keep two of the best regualr weapons in the game all in the storage box next to the arena in the Bar area. I keep all my ammo in the 100 Rads storage box, along with all my medkits (200 per kind), artifacts, supplies, and trinkets. I don't sell artifacts, I use them to complete the "go get" missions, I do every side quest that does NOT get me into a war with some faction, and generally go around keeping peace in the zone.

So far I am sitting on an arsenal of weapons and armor, about 10,000 rounds for the better stronger guns, and a couple hundred artifacts. You'd be surprised with a little effort, and paying attention, where and how artifacts appear.

PROTIP: electro anomalies produce "Moonlights" "Sparklers" and "Flash", but ONLY ONLY if you are near the anomalies AT NIGHT. Usually just after midnight.

I do use mods, but ones that don't make the game too easy:

No Head Bob (when moving around)
Repair shops (guns & armor)
Hud & Blood (More -realistic- blood, and a much better HUD)
Improved Flashlight (cause the origonal is made for creepy darkness Doom3 style)
Pipe Bomb (able to buy pipe bombs that you can shoot to detonate)
No time Limit on Missions
Annoying Audio fix (get out of here stalker, I may have some information.., Don't just stand there!..., Hello? Hello!, etc.)

Damn Monolith tricked me! I played it through once but it was very painful with the random crashes and crazy incidents!
Can anyone recommend a decent patch or mod as id love to play it again and get a proper ending.

I love it when they say "I see you there stalker", in their russian(whatever) accents. Good game, might put some mods on and finish it.

Was just scrolling for info on Clear sky and just for the fuck of it I went to check the info on SoC when I saw this.

Strong non-linear story line with over 8 completely different endings

What what in the butt?! Has anyone got a different endind than the greedy one? I thought this was the only one.
