So to my delight, when I started Steam up today, I was greeted by the news that Introversion had released 3 of their amazing games on steam for just 20 bucks. I bought. I love them all. Anyone else buy this yet, or interested in buying?
DEFCON is a pretty unique multiplayer RTS, and my favorite of the group. It's basically just an apocalypse game where the point is to have the least dead people in your country/region. If you've seen the movie "War Games," it's based on that. It's quite fun... if those you're playing with allow the speed to be a tad above the basic speed.
Darwinia is a RTS... I think. I don't know what it is exactly. It's freakin' crazy. To clarify: it is a RTS game, but it's more of a drug trip so... yeah.
Uplink is a Hacker Simulation. That's about it.
Basically, for just 20 bucks, it's a pretty sweet deal. Uplink is quite fun, and I've heard really good things about Darwinia... and DEFCON (especially the Diplomacy mode) is pretty cool.
I don't recommend these games to people who need action. The excitement in them comes more from the atmosphere and strategic business.
ANNNNYway. may sound like a sales pitch. Kinda is, i guess, as I'd like to have some BF2s people to play DEFCON with... but... uh... yeah.... I lost my train of thought.
