When i try to change the reso. past 1024 by 768 some of the screen gets clipped. I checked and the monitor can support up 2 1600 by 1200. Any ideas?
It would be nice if you tell us what card you have. Did yiu install any vid card drivers?

Pretty sure a 17" LCD won't do more than 1024x768...
the 17" does have a problem, it should run 1280X1024 fine, but not even 1024X768? just use the 20" for now and try fix the 17"

I think it was the Refresh Rate (Hz) That was you problem, usualy is from the problems you mentioned.
ok im swtiching back to 1024, everything works fine on 1268 but the Screenshots are ugly. Idk why.
