From what I've experienced, I choose the 360.
Pros-
Great games
Lots of shooters
Games look good
Cons-
EXPENSIVE AS FUCK
Wii comes in second for me.

PS3 - Don't have it - Don't want it, comparable to 360 tbh
360 - Have it - Fun for about 4 months, then got old, haven't played in like 6 months+
Wii - Have it - Always fun, great for having people over, simply... fun

but seriously.....PC PWNS all.
but i admit i have a pc bias view and looking at consoles that my friends have: (the only console i ever had was a n64.)
ps3 is kick ass can't deny that but the games are few for now but they are also bloody expensive. my buddy has a ps3 but only two games because he can't afford the game after spending so much on the console itself.
wii is cool on the idea that it uses a totally new system of game play. but ya its a bit....kiddy. great when you have buddies coming over though to play super smash for example.
xbox360 has lots of games but i can see how one can get bored if playing single player on it mostly.
I say Wii, makes you more active, as you can play games that you play in such a fashion that you get exercise.
It also brings a new aspect to gaming, rather than sitting around on your ass, you stand up in most games and move your body.
The graphics are good too and isn't at all complicated.
Plus is CHEAPER!

The Wii is fun for about the first week you have it. After that, everything gets repetitive and old.

PS3 = I have, I like it, great controllers light weight good battery life, good games, looks good QUIET
Xbox 360 = I have it, I like it, good games, don't like the controllers as much, but that's just me, it is considerably louder... but with 7.1 surround sound you don't hear it too much...

Does anyone know if the PS3 will play both PAL and NTSC standard dvds? I know my 360 does, I was just curious.

Wii, its something different thats what I like about Nintendo they can develop something totally different and interesting, thats what I look for when I buy video games. I dont want another system with the same type of shootemups and racing games except better graphics, thats why the wii is better. Im not saying the 360 is bad though, i just dont like the PS3 they didnt do much to impress me in this generation of gaming systems.
PS3 has a lot of good titles coming up, making it worth the purchase. I know a decent amount of people that have 360's and wish they had a PS3 instead. Not to mention that the Sony supports the PS3 really really well. New firmware updates almost monthly, adding more and more functionality to system. Next year is looking to be really solid for the PS3.
I plan on getting the Wii eventually too, cause it looks so damn fun.
