Combat is easy. Face it. Hold R1. Press Square when they start swinging.
However it is undeniably cool, and i doubt there hasnt been one time you havent winced in pain seeing a random guard getting a sword through the face.
So here are some how to's. If you've seen someone do something online and want to do it in your game ask here.
First:
Break Legs and Very Cool Kills.
Sometimes when you counter, you will punch an enemy twice and they will stay upright, this is your cue to do something painful and/or awesome at the same time.
After the enemy gets the second punch, mash x (or A) to break your enemies leg. It may not be clear from sight, but the crunch makes it apparent. they'll roll around in pain for a while after.
Or:
Style Kill.
With the short or longsword selected and your enemy reeling after the second punch press square (or X) to stab them in the skull, complete with satisfying crack, with the SS and plain stab em in the gut with the LS.
Kill em on the ground. Any enemy's crying on the ground preparing to die can meet their maker quicker. Select the hidden blade, target with L1 and press Square. Put out of their misery.
Now I ask you, BF2s AC players, is it possible to counter or kill with the hidden blade in the middle of the sword fight. I've heard you can.
