Deep thought also mentioned that she couldn't really compute the answer. She needed to design a new and more powerful computer capable of doing so. I'm still waiting to see what that one comes up with.

my 2c: various cults, religions, philosophical approaches try to tell us there is a deeper meaning to our existance, some even argue there is life after death ( paradox, ain't it ? life after death... ).
I ain't into that. life is what you make of it. you gotta find your personal meaning, and it generally doesn't matter wether it is organized religion, atheism, scientific pantheism, or some other form of faith/belief ( money, sex, power, sports, etc.. ).
As long as you don't hurt somebody else, and don't try to force your view on others, and slaughtering of virgins isn't mandatory, you should be fine.
Problem is, there always seem to be people who think their approach is better than others, and who look down on those who don't follow their special belief. Tolerance is the key here.

i think it would be pretty retarded if there was this whole ridiculously huge universe just so we could live and die once and possibly starve to death or trip over a duffel bag in the airport, falling into a big buff guy who knocks you out, and when you're in the hospital they accidentally mix up your medication with arsenic, and then you're done.
