Is there any servers that run in the old patch still?
any specific one? 0.5 0.6 1.2 or 1.25 also why do you want to go back?

you can't log in without the latest patch
I was gonna tell you to try Game Monitor, but I just checked and they don't offer to filter out different versions. I know they do with BF2.
