why is the A380 shitty ?cowami wrote:
Hmmm...
Suggestions as to what I should do next?
This is the list of planes I can use (I'm really only listing modern, larger planes):
(A really shitty) Airbus A380
Boeing 737-400
Boeing 747-400
Boeing 777-300
Boeing F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet (in assorted colors, and armaments)
Bombardier Learjet 45
Beechcraft Baron 58
Beechcraft King
Ya.
The skin on it is kinda meh. And plus, it handles WAAAAAAY too easily to be realistic. I mean, I know it's supposed to be easy to fly, but when it's like a Cessna, you know something's wrong.
Are these flight sim games any good?
I've never played one before, what should I try first, if they are any good?

Check out simviation.com for more planes etc. It's one of the best sites for the Flight Sim series.
try doing it in fsx
If you like piloting jets like Boeing 747 777,Learjets etc... (you can download hundreds of planes, even an aircraft carrier...) FS is for youFFLink13 wrote:

If you prefer military jets try Lock On: Modern Air Combat but you will only be able to fly 6 jets(MiG-29,F15C,A10, Su-25, Su-37 Su-33).

Its not 10 gig, its like 4gig for FS 2004...
I tried it for a bit and it was the most boring thing Ive ever done.
Good sim, cool for flight nuts....but if you want to do something other then fly a big plane straight for an hour it might not be for you.
lol I was on the US server while he was trying to pull off the loop. He told us "I'll be on in like half an hour after I pull off this loop in MFS....needless to say we never saw him after that.

I wuz postin' mah picchurz heyah.
But don't worry, now that I've fixed my lag issue (stupid AVG decides to scan while I'm playing [fucking technology ]), I actually stand a chance against you and your M95.
oh yeah... its only the lag....you will totally pwn now.
Actually I loose/gain skill semi quick....when I player a lot every day I get decent, when I stop I start the suck again.
Haven't played in a while, so I got nothing.

I'm like that too, I can only imagine how much I;ll suck at RS:V once I get my xbox back.

Also, there's new missions, in multiplayer, people can act as ATC, blah blah blah.
I'm in ur city, flyin' under ur bridgez!
Oakland-Bay.
Alcatraz, yo!
It's orange.
And now we reach what I'm most proud of:
No, I didn't try landing on it.

Hmm, saying that puts me in the mood for music:
Gimme a break, gimme a break,
Break me off a piece of that Kit-Kat bar!
I don't think its ur graphics, I think the flight sims always had shitty landscaping graphics...I mean hell the maps are so big so if they tried to up them to a decent "wow" factor, you'd need at least 2 gigs of ram and a nice fresh video card I'd think.
I have some old fly sims of my own, but I've been A LOT more into WWII Fighters, IL-2 Sturmovik Combat Simulator and Lock-On. Although I can see the joy in flying a huge ass jumbo jet in loops and flying on top of buses
I bet there are TONS of scenarios/missions you can download.

Nature is a powerful force. Those who seek to subdue nature, never do so permanently.
I downloaded an F-18.Im_Dooomed wrote:

Damned graphics intensive, doesn't fire missiles, and is really, REALLY goddamn fast, but it does have a system that emulates an aircraft carrier's catapult.
Of course, whether I can actually find a carrier to land on properly, that's another story.
FSX is great. FX9 is old news!
Flight Simulator! Rofl!
I actually just uninstalled FSX and put Fs9 back on.leetkyle wrote:

got this game from a friend last night, fired it up and did the first couple missions no problem, couldnt land in the Loon Canyon mission and get credit for it for some reason. some of those damn planes, its hard to see over the top of the console.
then i tried flying the first jet mission, got there okay but couldnt put the damn plane on the ground ... lol
any suggestions on landing the bigger planes?

Just ease down gently and land with your your rear wheels first. Your front will then come down gently and you can taxi to your designated area. It takes a while to get used to and you might find yourself not able to actually land on the runway for a bit with this technique - but once you master it, it is much better.A41-darkmanX wrote:

Also, watch your sink-rate and try and keep the air lights on 2 red and 2 white! as the old saying goes:
If the lights are white, you'll fly all night.
If the lights are red, you'll be dead.
Yeah why dude? Did you not get the SP1?leetkyle wrote:

You want 2 red, 2 white.
I has a different rhyme, though:
All red and you're dead.
All white and you're high as a kite.
Both work tbh.
