First, I haven't seen anything on an estimated release date. Does anyone have an idea of when it will be available for download. I don't want it to come out to soon and know it will be done when it's done I just wanted to know this.
Second I've seen the rather short list of fixes but was wondering if there is going to be more or not, like are they going to fix the gunship shields. For anyone that doesn't fly the gunship the shields don't prevent every missile from hitting the ship, even after the shields are up you can still get hit. Also I heard something about the static AA having better tracking and the shoulder fired AA having a shorter range.

Long story short (too late sorry) is there a link that has more info than what's on EA's site?

1. I have not seen or heard of a release date yet.
2. I know exactly what you mean about the Gunships but I don't think they are doing anything about this

there's a 1.4 beta, but not a full on release. It includes Highway Tampa. Right now, there are anywhere from 3-10 servers to be found. It's fun.

Yeah i like it and the titan mode is cool (2 gun ships) thought you would of heard something by now about a release date, cant be that far away

Hopefully they're not trying to do a 'BF2' and patch to 1.4 and leave it at that. (well 1.41 but you get the idea) Cause I hadn't played 2142 for 2 months and came back, most of the news pages & new ticker hasn't changed much.

Besides 2142 has a lot of small glitches that need fixing.. I would type em out but I'm gonna go sleep instead

You do know the gunship sheild doesnt protect the tail yea?

It's been in beta for a little while now, I would assume its nearing completion, and an anouncement very soon Or maybe, there are going to try and tie it in with this rummoured second booster pack

Just fix the god dam glitches first!

Screw the glitches. It adds another random element to the game which makes me smile. I want the new patch and more content. I agree about the gunships though I hope the patch makes them a little more survivable.

Bah, the first, while bring some nice vehicles and new maps wasnt worth the money(good thing I won it ) What will the second one be? 1 vehicle nd half a map? I remember quite cleary on Battlefield Vietnam EA releaseing a World War 2 mod, with 3 maps, and plently of vehicles and weapons etc FOR FREE, sad they even make boosters, only expansion to the Battlefield worth buying was Special Forces.

Unfotunately, this happens with all vehicle shields, Walker/Tank/APC, and the jets.
