I've had BFV for awhile now, played it, uninstalled it, tried to reinstall it, but now I have a problem, everytime when I go to install a windows dialog box pops up that has "Severe" as its heading and says MSGBOX_CANT_FIND_EREG_FILE(E-Reg). Anyone know how to fix this or what is causing this? I highly doubt my CD is scratched as it has been kept in the box almost all the time, I keep good care of my stuff in general.

do you have the BFV patches also? I would try uninstall reinstall... then patch

Sounds like a missing file on the CD. Give this a try, copy the cd to your hardrive, and given its a 3 disc set, copy all three to the same folder and try to install off the hardrive. Had a similar issue with a missing file on a disc, did this and it worked, go figure.

I am trying to install the game, I had uninstalled it a few months ago. But anyways, the game has come in its latest version(I bought it after the release of BF2).[TUF]Catbox wrote:

try checking to make sure all the old BFV files have been deleted... maybe there are some left over that are corrupt... idkCommie Killer wrote:
