Question about 1.40 beta patch.

I'm new.

My game is of course up to 1.25, and I've dl'd the 1.40beta patch. I've done the search on the forum, and have read a lot about what it does.

But not whether to install it or not.

In Multiplay, i run "same version only" and get about 180+ servers at peak time.

Will this affect the number of servers a bunch? Or by now is everyone running 1.40 but me and I'm just teh dumb?

Go download 1.41 FULL patch not 1.40

No wait Nexus and Ryan are wrong. The OP is patching 2142, not BF2. Download the 1.25 patch for 2142 if you want more servers. You'll have to reinstall the game before you patch though.

EDIT: Read the OP wrong, but Nexus and Ryan are still wrong. Try removing filters if you want more servers. There will be fewer servers if you get the beta patch,so that wont fix anything.

Oh yes, 2142.. Just noticed that when I was grabbing the patch.

Already have 1.41 for BF2.

So stick with 1.25 then? I wouldn't want to lose the good servers that I've found to play on so far. Found some great people to game with.

Yea stick with 1.25. That is the patch that has the most servers.

Cool, thanks very much.

I had assumed that most were using 1.25 since that's what showed up, but I wasn't sure if there were more using 1.40 and I was missing out.
