Well I ordered my new PS3 from Ebay and it's coming here for Monday.
My problem is, well, there is almost as much game for PS3 than the times my brother got laid (he's 15!)
I know Oblivion for ps3 is a good game but I'm not a big fan of RPG...
And plz, don't tell me "Dud wait for GtA IV Its the pwnzorrzzz!!1oneeleven!!
Any idea of a good game?

Resistance: Fall of Man
Get Guitar Hero, a guitar, and the Pelican PS2 to PS3 adapter and rock out (it only works well with GH1)
Rainbow Six: Vegas
Super Stardust HD (downloadable off of PS Store)
Calling All Cars! (Another PS Store game)

RFOM and Guitar Hero are great, and R6:V, SSHD, and CAC all seem to have good reviews on IGN.

And the games I've heard that you might look forward to:

Skate (skateboarding)
GTA4
Guitar Hero III
Rock Band
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Gran Turismo 5

I thought exactly the same thing when I got my PS3, but I took a chance and got Oblivion.  I didn't regret it, I thought I didn't like RPG's until I played Oblivion.  It's a great game and it really showcases the PS3's graphics even at such an early stage in its life.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

I would def. get Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the patriots. Every single game has been uber imo. From the looks of it, Hideo Kojima has done another hit and a great addition to the series.

I heared that Rainbow Six Vegas is a really bad port from teh 360. If you bough a PS3, why not get games which you can't get on teh PC. I mean, for the time being RFOM and MS are the only good once.

Off topic, anyone know, If I can use my computer monitor to get HD resolution or equivalent? BUT, my monitor has VGA and not DVI, do you think there is an adapter or a special cable?

If your monitor can run in 1280x720 or 1920x1080 it's HD. Generally that means 20" or 24" screen, respectively. And yes there are adapters for DVI to VGA.

Same here. Oblivion doesn't feel like an RPG, as there's minimal points assignment (there's a bit of choice at the beginning, but a part from that, you just select three out of seven attributes to increase every level). Increasing your skills is done by the amount you actually use those skills, so the more you use a blade, the better you'll be with bladed weapons. Also, the game is played in first person (you can play in thrid person but its not ideal), so its much more immersive than a standard rpg.

Lots of people recommended Resistance - I'd stay away from it. While it is good fun, the campaign mode is a bit boring (its fun the first time, but is very linear so isn't much fun to replay) and the multiplayer mode is nothing special (especially after playing so much battlefield).

Instead, get Motorstorm. While it lacks a 2 player mode, it is an amazing racing game if you don't like all the nitty-gritty features of games like gran turismo and need for speed and just want to actually race. It requires a lot of skill, especially if you play with motion control, and the multiplayer mode is fantastic.

About VGA adapters, I've read that they generally degrade the signal enough to make HD pointless. And I doubt you'd even ntoice HD on a computer monitor, the screen is too small.
