BF2S Forums Medals, Gold Badges, Pins or Ribbons almost or impossible to achieve

The only award in that list I will never get is the War College ribbon because commanding bores me
Edit  - I got all pins and almost all Air awards (half way to the Aircraft Combat Medal)

I would not say "impossible to get" globaly, cause that's not true. There are some awards which are hard to get just for a specific person (f.i. I hate to fly), some are a little bit boring while working on the global requirements (f.i. rack up 500 wins without losses like I had to do), some require a perfect round, ...

Per today I'm at 118 / 126 awards. Imagine I do the next 7, I will have a major problem to get the Purple Heart!

i was going to say the air drops, but i managed to get it by dropping my clan mates to the titan all the time, i did die about a million times doing it tho

i still hav a few to get, but cant seem to get the titan medallion, even thought its at 100%.. any ideas ?

titan destructor gold ... 3 consoles , 1 core , IAR ... close to impossible

not impossible, but you need to have a good suport guy ready to resupply u, and be lucky with the core.. , prob need 4 man squad, suport,recon,assault x2

I wouldn't say WCR is hard unless you don't want to play Commander at all. If you like or just accept this role, learn what to do and what not, then you're able to get some nice points - and 10 / 126 awards (6 badges, 3 ribbons, 1 medal).

Me I did a mistake with the WCR since I believed that it sure will be "corrected" with a patch just like we had it at BF 2. Therefore I never concentrated my game play on winning, in fact defending Titans is quite productive concerning points. Finally I recognized that the WCR won't be changed and at this moment I had already 80 Commander hrs, something around 1,200 rounds and a W/L of around 1.2 so I was forced to get over 500 wins.

First idea was to play on servers with auto balance off but this is the wrong way: Every attempt to switch the team will cost you a suicide and -2 team points, regardless whether you are successful or not and whether you are already death since you were killed by an enemy.

Another popular idea is: Stay with the winning team. This can work, but is quite risky since there is a lot of team switching between two rounds! Some players like to join the winning side, others want to play only with a specific stock weapon and some just leave the server while new players join, so you'll have no guarantee for the next win at all.

At EA forums I was able to learn the best and only thing to do in my situation: Only join the winning side! Sounds a little bit silly, but it works.

When searching for servers look for a even number of players (not full of course), rounds close to the end (use button "i" left to server name) and with a dominating side (clear higher number of kills). Now try to join the winning side and if you aren't allowed to do so, leave the server. After you get the victory, leave (see above)!

Some important things to now about this way:

- Don't play Titan mode! Unlike Conquest and Assault where a lead of 50 tickets is a 99% sure victory, so many Titan games completely turn around in the last few minutes.

- Unless you enter the battlefield a round is not counted! Even if you join close to the end and immediately see a win / loss note it is not recorded. As a result you can stay a while on a server constantly trying to join the "correct" team without any risk of a loss.

- Looking for perfect servers and trying to join a specific side there will take some time. Although you might be able to get 10+ victories within an hour, this way of racking up sure victories is more working instead of playing. (I always played at least one normal game per day just to have a break and some real fun.)

- Since you don't play complete rounds for a while, your g/s/b-quote will drop tremendously.

Once you have the 2.0 W/L (do some victories in reserve) you have to search for a long round to get the required 45 commander points. People with so much time with this game will surely know all the things to look for and the suspicious maps (I did the WCR at Leipzig).



Sure most of you know all this but perhaps I'm able to help at least one soldier to get the WCR too.
