One thing ive noticed since the new patch obviously the SAAW is stronger/more effective. But ive also noticed the SAAW's tendancy to fire straight through a gunship shield while tracking it across half the map or being shot off on a tangent and still looping back round. It dosent seem right that gunships should have absolutely no protection whatsoever from the SAAW which ive been tracked with from one side of the map to the other with, and then they should be able to go straight though the shields. Was this EA's intent or just another FUBAR of programming? Anyone else seen this happen?
Its the same with the gunship rockets. Tbh I think the gunship shields are a joke

The shields on aircraft has always had problems.
Yea, you will see more patches for BF2142 where they try to fix this.
I thought they adressed exactly those problems in the last patch. It said, the SAAW range was decreased and the lock on bugs fixed. The gunship shields, especially the one that wasn´t covering the tail on one of them (the doragon had the problem right?) were fixed, too?!
