This is so weird. Just 2 days ago, my mouse locks up in game. It works fine on the menus, but once I get in a server of anykind, the mouse cursor locks up. I don't knwo what to do. At that rate, I guess I will have to reinstall the game (which is a pain in a neck) do you know what to do???

If nothing can be done than I guess I will temporarily leave BF2, since I have too much schoolwork and my grades are falling because of this game and reinstalling is an hassle right now. Oh, it is an optical mouse.

do ur hw first, i have finals tommorrow, also whatmouse is it u never told me if it is opti or ball, it opti have u tried cleaning the lense?
Dunno m8. Have you tried updating or re-installing the drivers for your mouse? Or considered getting a new one? The problems you're having maybe down to a variety of reasons. Maybe you dropped it? Maybe settings involving the certain features of your mouse have changed? Have you tried cleaning it?
If you haven't messed about with the settings, dropped it or wotever and you didn't have this problem when you first started playing BF2 with the same mouse we're talking about then I can conclude that it's not BF2 that is the reason behind your mouse problem. Instead the problem lies elsewhere.

I already did my homework and I finished studying for my final as well, no it is not the mouse problem, probably BF2, sigh, I now have to REINSTALL this game all over again...

Well, the mouse works in every app I use and even works on the menus before you go and connect to a server. Once your in-game on your kit selection menu, the cursor locks-up. It is an optical mouse btw and it works like a charm, no drivers nada.

No, it is one of the plug and play ones, I think lol...
go to in game options and then go to controls then common controls. hit reset to default and you'll be ready to play.
