the server is good but really bad for admins to control it I think (from what I have seen), so I recon they should switch it off.
I heard in the HBD thread or whatever, that there is need for an IO SF Server in Europe...
They just got a 24/7 Ghost Town server which seems to be extremely popular.
Maybe we should try Making an own thread?

I think there are enough IO servers located in Europe, even in SF..

Like dude said: kinda a nightmare to admin on, a lot don't seem to work, except for banning!
It's good to have a SF server though, I played on it yesterday but had a CTD. If we can keep it, it's a good server for Events, as we don't need to kick people then usually, ... I would however, rather have an all maps rotation on it, but that probably don't populate enough (it's 4 rounds ghost, 4 rounds warlord io at the moment).
IO Warlord on 32 map is a bit sucky though, when the british take 2 flags, they STILL have a ticket bleed... Which means that insurgents can easily lose 2 flags at once and still win the map without an effort.
But about it, I think we can have it, till i3d has another customer and will reinstall the whole thing. Till that, we can have it as they totally fell in love with Schuss his charms.

Yeh, I'm guessing this server won't get as much consentration from our groupd, so you would need some Sort of popular map (Ghost Town IO for example) for it to get started by itself.De_Jappe wrote:

I dont understand the point of this poll or discussion at all. The deal is simple, we only need 1 bf2 server and chuy's put up an add on the homepage as advertising for them. We asked our bf2 to be switched to linux to we could set up pb ss and sort the kick problem. The deal we got with them is 1 bf2 server. Shut the old one down.

yeah it seems gone, even on the control panel of i3d. I think however it's for the best, to stop confusion etc. I pmed Chuy this morning to change the homepage to the new server and he has done it already. One server is also easier to admin than two at the same time.
Yeah, they'll turn it off.
