And yes, I have done that on a number of situations before just to show off to my co-pilot.

The best ones for me though are when im on fire or an important base is being taken, ill point myself towards a vehicle on the ground, and eject at the time where i'd usually release bombs. That way i arc right to the vehicle and manage to get in. No damage, or time lost chuting.
And to clear things up, no, you cant shoot while freefalling. You have maybe half a second to a second of time from the moment you bail and pull out your gun to the moment you enter the skydiving position. Most draw times are longer, so you couldnt shoot, not to mention that you cant jump and shoot anymore, which is essentially what bailing is.

Me and a former clanmate of mine would switch seats in the bomber like that.
True, trueSteikeTa wrote:
Don't work to bail out if someone has a lock on you when you are high up. The lock stays for some seconds even after you bail.
So do you mean "yes, you can", cus you sed u cant and then went on to say u bail for ppl to spawn on you, anyway u cantTitch2349 wrote:
yes, you can't, which is why you would get out of the plane, for people to spawn, then you get in againSamtheman53 wrote:

Good job, self! (pats self on back)
Jet exit and re-entry challenge: karma for the first person to post video of him/herself
- leaving a jet in midair,
- opening their parachute,
- firing a weapon, then
- getting back into the jet and not crashing.
This is hard. I've been able to exit the jet, get below it, open my parachute and then get back in. But I crash into the ground every time and I've never fired a weapon before getting back into the jet. I'll give myself karma if I do it first.

well if your jet isnt hit yet,
i guess if a hostile jet has a lock on you and you cant shake him off u can just lead him up and do this

Nope. The engines stay on for a few seconds after you get out, hence why jets/helicopters can still be destroyed by AA missiles, even if the crew bails.Monkeyman911 wrote:

I disagree.cowami wrote:

Oh? Then why do you disagree, jord?
/me wants intelligent discussion.
/me wants intelligent discussion.
Well, TBH i just wanted someone to quote me.cowami wrote:

But, seeing as how it only stays locked on for a few seconds, and it takes more than 2 AA missles to take down a chopper, and then a few seconds to reload, an AA site can't take down a recently bailed out chopper at full health.
Go
Me.
Ah. Well, by AA, I meant more of air-to-air missiles. I ought to have clarified.jord wrote:

Well since you didn't clarify, i was actually correct.cowami wrote:

Go

already knew that....
Those are cool!
But the movie doesn't show any re-entering the jet while parachuting. If you can do that, it might actually be useful.
Karma for first movie of someone firing a weapon in midair (while parachuting) and re-entering the jet.
