i like the way all the different WWII games tend to have really original ideas in them from the massive extreme of resistance fall of man to simpler things such as the ability play different armies in the CoD series or choose what soldier you play in BF:1942.
I reckon if these ideas were combined with some care and attention to detail and quality then the greatest game ever could be made, damn corporation wanting for money.

It is pretty hard to overdue the genre. It is massive and I have played almost all of it. I think the big complaint is that the games all seem to be the same. So it isn't necessarily WW2 but the FPS/RTS clones. Just dig deep into the genre and you will find that there are only a few good WW2 games that aren't FPS/RTS.

There is still a lot that can be done with it so there is no reason to complain.

I like the WW2 genre, but what I hate, is the whole Medal of Honour style that most of them are set in which is
