What about the Gigabyte's GA-8N SLI Quad Royal? It supports 4 PCI Express graphics cards...Then add the Gigabyte 3D1 series of video cards, each card runs SLI, but uses one slot....so thats equivalent to 8 video cards on one motherboard.....think that would work well?

I doubt the concept would work. If I remember right, there's no way to create a Quad-SLI with those cards alone. So even if one was to attempt in doing that, it probably won't work at all. I haven't heard anything about a quad-SLI sans the Dell/nVIDIA brag announcement. However, if someone has done it, it probably slipped past me (and I consider myself usually up to date on any hardware news and experimentations).
