Actually, if you look at the Killzone trailer, you would think the PS3 can handle it. Not really sure, might be talking bs. The cell processor surely can handle this... maybe?The_Mac wrote:
Because the PS3 and Xbox360 can't handle Crysis, duh.

Maybe, but I don't think Crytek feels like catering to the console crowd. Cell processors are not the God stopping processors either. They're the biggest asset to the PS3, but thats about it.rabee2789b wrote:

Why not spend the 400 pounds on upgrading your PC to Crysis status?rabee2789b wrote:
waw, thats amazing. Why not just release it on the PS3 and the 360 as well. Gonna spend £400 in the summer on a ps3 and not gonna be able to play this game, due to my super-crap PC!

Well, I would, but buying DX10 would cost around £350/£400, I am talking about the GTX here, along with new/faster RAM, new processor. Basically a new computer. And I am going to the uni next year, don't really need a new computer, as I will be getting a laptop!doctastrangelove1964 wrote:

It will run on most half decent DX9 graphics cards such as 7600's 7800's 7900's but if you want to get the very best out of this game you will need a DX10 card such as 8800 or an 8600 (Only about £100).=Robin-Hood= wrote:
Can anyone elaborate on what machine it will require?
I mean god damn that thing looks hot; but how many yottaflops does it need?

I for one will be upgrading my ageing 7800 GTX for an 8800 GTX just for this game.
Minimum Requirements
CPU: Athlon 64 3000+/Intel 2.8ghz
Graphics: Nvidia 6200 or ATI X1300 - Shader Model 2.0
RAM: 768MB on Windows XP or 1GB on Windows Vista
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 256k+
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9.0c with Windows XP
Recommended Requirements
CPU: Dual-core CPU (Athlon X2/Pentium D)
Graphics: Nvidia 7600 or ATI X1600 Pro (SM 3.0) or DX10 equivalent
RAM: 1.5GB+
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9.0c with Windows XP
The cheapest DX10 card is the 8600 which went on sale today i think are about £115 upwards and will have a similar performance to the 7950 but DX10 compatablerabee2789b wrote:

I doubt that I am gonna spend £200/300 for a GFX card, where my whole PC costs £500, 2 years ago. As I said I am going uni next year, so I don't want to spend too much money on my current PC as I am getting a laptop, hopfully they will release a GFX with DX10 in the next 2 years.Greenboi wrote:
Save up extra and get 8800GTS.
It will last longer, do better, look nicer, and wont cry on DX10 like 8600 is likely to
Edit: those 3d mark scores arent good really. I get 15k with an E6300 & 8800GTS on 3d 05...theyre using a quad core for it...
www.overclockers.co.uk sell 8600's if you want one
