6800GT vs X850 Pro?

I'm looking to buy a new AGP graphics card and I've come to 2 options:

Nvidia's 6800GT and ATI's X850 Pro

I was wondering if there is any major difference between them on BF2?

even though i support ATi, the 6800GT seems to be better cause of SM 3.0 compared to Sm 2.0b. i have a X800 Pro and x850XT, the both run bf2 pretty well, and there good Ocers

Isn't the X800 more on 6800's par? I hear the 850 rapes the 6800. Guess I heard wrong.

Anyway, I have a 6800 GT OC and it runs BF2 great at 1600x1200.

x800xl runs everything high 2x aa 2x af 1280x1024 never under 40fps

The NIVIDIA 6800 GT is on par with the Radeon x850 Pro
The NIVIDIA 6800 GTX is on par with the Radeon x850 XT
The NIVIDIA 6800 Ultra is on par with the Radeon x850 XT Platinum Edition.

All come in AGP versions but are very expensive now in AGP.

The AGP version x850 XT is about $275 on Ebay currently. Pro is a little less at about $240 and the XT PE version is way up there around $380 to over $400.

Budget accordingly.

i have the 6800GT (my new toy ) its great, with only 1gb ram i can run nearly all on high (appart from the textures, there on med) btu id say when i get another 1gb of ram i could run them all on high

that was at a screan res of 1024x756 (think thats the numbers......) an AA x4 so im not complaining

EDIT - that was on "special forces" and we all know its a little bit harder on the system than the regular BF2, so i think i could run everything on high in BF2, ill give it a try later

u might, but my 7800GTX is at 8X AA, 16X AF and at 1280X1024 resolution and everything on high except for lighting.

i get around 26-45 fps on SF w/ that, if AA was 4X it would be around 40-60
