I finaly got BF2:SF a few days ago and I'v been trying to find the best ballance between profromence and qualty for my graphics settings. I tryed useing the same settings that I use for normal BF2 but I noticed I was getting around 1/2 to 3/4 the frame rate I get in BF2, it's worse on the night maps.
Does anyone else have the same proublem or is ot just my system messing up?

System Stats:
CPU: AMD 64 ~3Ghz
RAM: DDR3200 1Gig
Video card: 2x GeForce6600 256MB Non-SLI mode

I can run BF2 at 1280x1024 with all settings to Med except dynamic lighting.

Thank you for any help,

Try playing SF maps on servers that are located in your county, also could be your computer
mine
AMD athlon 64x2 Dual
CPU 4400+
2 gigs of ram
GeForce 7600 512mb
I can run High settings on all maps SF and Vanilla
I play alot on a 64man Iron Gator server that genrally has 50+ players no lag (Its based in Texas)

Na, I find the SF maps are more heavy on resources than vanilla. Probably due to texture sizes, since they are more detailed than vanilla.
I find it takes longer to load (only just) and also a little less FPS. Certainly not 1/2 as many though...

How the hell do you run two cards, not in SLI mode?

I dont check the SLI option in the Nvidia settings. Also, the cards I have *can* run in SLI mode but they dont have the bridge thing (they came out just before SLI and Nvidia puts a driver trick). I run them like that so I can have 2x monitors running.
