Red Orchestra is just about the best FPS ever. Its realism is incredible.

Loads of online servers. No single player though, its like CS.

Ofcourse it works with steam... they are the ones selling it.

Not that high. I cant realy check as Steam takes like 1 hour to connect on my uni network. It isnt about graphics with this game, although they are still like source graphics.

I bought it, and didn't find it exiting enough to continue playing.

i have it, tank battles are realistic....my favorite part of the game. i remember one battle i was in, i was in a    t-34 up against a tiger! and i shot from like half a mile away, and in my periscope kinda view, the shell just bounced off! and i got my ass pwned. its a realistic game and its worth a buy imo.

9/10 for tank battles
7-8/10 for gun combat

Its great if you like realism. if not you wont have fun. Personally, i really like it. In regards to system reqs if you can run UT2004 you can run this. The game runs off the Ut2004 engine and not source (common misconception).

Depends if you like your gung ho games like BF2 and CoD2 where you have to practically empty a clip into someone to kill them or tactical/realism stuff of which Red Orchestra is.   1 shot from someone will more or less kill you and If it doesn't you eventually pop your clogs from being injured.

It utilises the UT2004 engine so will have graphics similar to that.  The coders won a tournament and the prize was access to the UT2007 source code.  A free version of Red Orchestra should still available (0.5 i think) but you need UT2004 installed as it's a mod for that.

I have OC but i don't play it much, prefer BF2 and unrealistic gung ho games!

I thought it was a stand-alone game as well?

If there are two different versions though, are they compatible with each other?

RO is so fun.

There's no cross hair,  no ammo count meter so you have to use your judgement and the tanks are so fun to use.

The fields consist of paddocks that grow in strange squares, seen better when viewed above.  Thus they are all square in shape (rectangular) and feel quite strange driving through.

It's worth it if you enjoy realism, and have a lot of patience. I personally have a tough time getting into it, but there's still quite a few servers with some good guys on.

What he said. However, it still uses an "updated UT2004 engine". Most low end rigs can run it well.

you'll love it if you like realism, not so much if you're more into arcadey type shooters
