There's an unlock for better zoom.
The sniper rifles rock, i use them at close range in the titan, if its more then 10 feet away, ill fire the the sniper rifle.

the sniper unlock is only a one shot kill on heavy armor targets if it's a headshot, on light armor targets it's a one shot kill i you hit either the legs, arms or the head not the chest that still got armor on it. very useful tip for the rifle so that you can use it properly. by the way it helps a lot to get the zoom unlock and a mouse that can slow down your sensitivity to 10 percent (makes it alot easier to keep the scope stabile)

That improved scope thing rocks! At max zoom you can get easy head shots on enemies when you're way out of there normal view distance (if you're a half decent sniper that is)... Just got the stabliser but i've not really tested it yet - bring on the Zeller!

Next time you either play with it, unlock it, or get it from a field upgrade, or whatever, check the Zeller-H advanced sniper rifle. It actually does kinda have a slight nightvision to it. Don't belive me? zoom in on the opposite titan vent when your in it, but you have to have the zeller

The Zeller sniper rifle is a waste of an unlock, in my honest opinion. It does more damage than the standard rifles (79 to armored targets versus 64 with the regular ones) but it still means that you have to shoot the bastard in the face to get a one shot kill. And, oh yeah, the one shot kill against light body armor...I've seen maybe half a dozen guys, in almost 100 hours of play actually go with light armor. Might as well run around in your underwear if you're going to do that.
Furthermore, a 3 shot clip...then the agonizingly long reload. I could kill five guys (wipe out a squad if I'm lucky) and then reload. And this might seem minute, but Zeller has narrower field of view; the scope barrel takes up a lot of room on the screen. I give it credit though: blowing up demo packs and claymores, and pissing off those recons who think they're safe behind their explosives, I suppose is worth it.

Personally, I am a Zeller user on MOST maps.
Maps I might use default sniper rifles for are Belgrade and Tunis Harbor. Those maps can get foggy and Zeller is horrible with the fog, especially in Tunis Harbor since the map already has slight Redness to the background and as you know the scope of the Zeller has Redness already.

However, in MOST maps, the redness actually helps me identifying the target. Its just my personal preference I guess.

i agree. i rather stick to the stock, and go for headshots and have a bigger magazine.

first things i unlocked was the complete recon kit, both zeller and lambert...

the 4x scope combined with zeller and a stabilizer + some claymores = most bad-ass anti-infantry kit on the planet !!!

(some ppl don't know, but push your default "RUN" button to stabilize your scoped aim... it will freeze for +-3sec.)
