Released as "beatmania" in the US, and as "beatmania IIDX" in Japan (where it is infinitely more popular).  A handful of the Japan-only arcade machines have made it Stateside, or so I've heard.  Like Guitar Hero except you're pressing 7 keys and a turntable...Any players here in the bf2s community or is it just one lone nut (i.e., me?)

Hehe, it's just as well, to play the "good" (Japanese) releases of beatmania you'd have to shell out for a Japanese PS2 anyway.  You could find an emulator somewhere (beatmania IIDX 9th style and later run off of Win XP, so you'd just have to find .iso's of the DVDs to play them), but pressing on your keyboard (and "scratching the turntable" by pressing the Shift key) just isn't the same...Alas.
