ok, so when ever i OC my memory on my 7800gtx over 1.30 ghz, bf2 would be all wierd w/ images and stuff...
yes, ur pushing the card to much basically.. and it produces "artifacts".... small glitches in images etc..
need 2 reduce it dude, or it will kill the card - however if u REALLLLY want to OC, id suggest getting better cooling, slightly uping the voltage and then slowly up the ram and core speeds..
but I wouldnt if I where you.. its a great card as stock, why change that ?!

well, on mine with cooling, Im at 37c... and I have 2 on SLi...
seriously dude, id be happy with your great card and not trying to OC it too much - the fact ur gettin artifacts means the card cant handle the current load, and is not stable - you really dont want to fry a $400 card do you?

why would u wanna push it more then ? ;o)
memory is overheating, the wearing and tearing is memory overheating, little irregular dots (snow) is the GPU core overheating
