I don't like everyone putting up a brick wall every time someone mentions rap - it proves you have no musical taste. A lot of rap is fucking excellent, and I am most definatly not a rap enthusiast. Mainstream rap is a complete joke.
There is a HUGE underground rap scene in america, as in the rest of the world... and some of it's pretty damn good.
If you've never heard of Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Immortal Technique, Busdriver or Prefuse 73 (although he's more trip-hop)... you're missing out.
