Is there a big difference in performance from a 7800GT to a 7800GTX? And which is better one 7800GT(GTX) or 2 6800 Somethings.
THANKS in advance.

That's not true. The highest performance gain I've seen is 70%, and that's rare. There are even benchmarks where the 2 cards perform worse than the 1 card.cyborg_ninja-117 wrote:
no, i think he means 1 7800gtx is better than an sli combo of 6800 ultras, SLI improves performence by up to 80%, and u can have AA settings to 16X instead of 8 which is the maximum for nvidia cards
That's why I got the GT instead. Don't blow the extra $100 on the X -- get more/batter/faster ram or HD's.Maj.Do wrote:
the gt is almost the same as the gtx
No it isn't, 2 7800 GTX's in SLi perform 7% MAX better then 2 7800 GT's, overall the 7800 GT would be the best to get, 256 MB is enough too.TC><Injecter wrote:
GTX is way better! Its also way better as 2 6800 Ultras (One 7800 GTX is almost double performance of 1 6800 Ultra and SLI is not soooooo good)!!! But it costs tooo much
