Thanks (well?) to AmbassadorofPain for finding all this stuff.

Either way, as long as it works on release and doesn't crash every which way I'm fine with it.

Crytek's upcoming sequel to Far Cry has been postponed, Electronic Arts announced during its latest quarterly earnings conference call. Crysis was initially scheduled to come out during EA's 2007 fiscal year, which started on March 31, 2006 and will end on March 31, 2007. EA now says the game will appear some time during the 2008 fiscal year that starts on April 1, 2007. The company didn't elaborate on a precise release date. That said, considering the game's looks and the fact that it'll be one of the first titles to implement DirectX 10 support, some PC gamers might be happy about having just a little more time to upgrade before the game hits stores. Along with Crysis, EA also said the upcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game Army of Two will also not show up until its 2008 fiscal year.
Having said that they might release right at the start of the fiscal year, however they might not, maybe this is being pushed back to compete with Episode 2 (which was also pushed back).Crytek's Community Manager confirmed that on a German fansite's forum.

Translated:Crysis shall become a major milestone in gaming history. That's the reason why the game will not be published unless as well EA as Crytek are satisfied with its quality.
Delays are not necessarily a bad thing. Of course the marketing-factor is part of that and many people want to have the game ASAP. However, we want to take the time to actually finish Crysis, so that it'll satisfy our demands and we can be sure that you, the community, won't be disappointed.
Of course we're still doing our best to finish Crysis in time and looking at the current state, things are looking very good.
Either way, as long as it works on release and doesn't crash every which way I'm fine with it.
