Because this thread is about redesigning something for the government and the $10 bill isn't worth a new thread.

As I understand the US has had quite a few different people on their bills. Why not switch it up a bit? It's not like anyone's particularly aware of who Alexander Hamilton was. Honestly the US needs an upgrade. The greenback is very iconic but cotton mono colour bills are so two centuries ago, get with the times.
Update on the NZ flag debate - people are still pissing and moaning but the frontrunner is Kyle Lockwood's design, (silver fern/southern cross.) I've been in contact with him to argue for a different colour scheme to match my black/white/blue/red design and that seems to be his preference now. So hopefully that will make the first referendum, (which has the purpose of choosing the finalist to take on the current flag out of four options,) and if that happens I think there's a pretty good chance of it getting over the line.
Hope we do change. The current one serves it's its purpose but it's a little embarrassing that we're one of just four countries that retain a defaced British ensign as our flag. Soon to be three as Fiji is about to change theirs.

Alexander Hamilton founded the treasury department. He was a founding father and military officer under Washington. Andrew Jackson was a terrible human being and president. He should lose his spot instead of Alex.

Speaking of flags, remember when people were laughing at Tony Abbott flanking himself with four flags at a press conference rather than the usual two? I remember someone Photoshopping a few extra in to suggest the logical progression, editing the picture so he had a ridiculous five on each side.

There is now a rejuvenated movement to get rid of the Confederate flag after that guy killed 9 people. Major stores have vowed to stop selling it or anything with it on it.
They are also trying to get them removed from capital and government buildings because that is still a thing in the south for some reason.

I think this is going a bit far. Removal from public buildings sure, making sure people know what they actually represent and taking some steps to make it not quite so prevalent is sensible but lets keep some perspective. This kid didn't walk into a church and shoot nine people dead with a flag.

Mostly this is an example of people with a long simmering agenda using the event to finally get their way. Never let a good tragedy go to waste etc.
