Can't find any info about it anywhere. This might be relevant to my interests although the idea of attack dogs sounds just bad. They were annoying in WaW already.

If the CS community doesn't migrate over and shit all over this game like they did with CS & CSS, it might be worth playing.

"I hated how powerful snipers were in Counter-Strike," said Minh. "They really unbalanced the game."
L2P.

AKs can easily beat AWPs.

Couldn't he come up with a better name?

Also:
"I just want to make a game that's a lot of fun for people to play; something that's not complicated."
CS is complicated?

How would scrimming change how good a gun is?

I thought the FaN in TF2 was overpowered (before the update), and I thought the same after I played my first TF2 scrim.

Sure, you could say I'd get raped by a guy with an AWP if I was using an AK in a scrim, but it'd probably be because he's a better player than me.
Give him the AK, and me the AWP, and he'd still kill me.

Because when you scrim 1.6 you are up against players that have done this before, and they have done this before a lot. They know all the ins and outs of the game. A one hit kill rifle in the hands of someone with good aim and reflexes can win the round by themselves over and over.

Don't even try comparing it to TF2, it's not even close.

I'm not trying to be an ass, but you really don't understand unless you have at least scrimmed CS. That is how the game is meant to be played.

Ugh, Counter Strike...

It will forever be a nub game, in my opinion.

My thoughts about this were reinforced at i37 with the amount of fucking retarded people playing it. I am so glad I'm better than that.

AK is a one-hit kill weapon too.

I didn't "compare" it to TF2. I used TF2 as an example. Not trying to be an ass either, but please actually read what I wrote.

You know what I mean. 1 headshot kill is a lot different than a 1 bodyshot kill. A usp is a one-hit kill weapon too.

Going from TF2 pub -> scrim is not the same as going from CS pub -> scrim, just as going from BF2 pub -> scrim wouldn't be the same either. The difference is those other games were designed to be pubbed - CS is made for 5v5 competition.

The AK will always drop someone regardless of armor in one headshot. No other non-sniper gun does that.

..and the TF2 reference was because you implied that scrimming will change how good a gun is.
But if you really want to get hung up on that: Playing Magic the Gathering in a competitive setting will not change how good a card is when it's used it casual play.
Flaming_Maniac
prince of insufficient light
+2,490|6964|67.222.138.85
Yes it does, because it changes how the card is used in conjunction with all the other cards. It does not change how the card works, but it makes the card much more potent in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing with it.

Playing in scrims doesn't automatically make people better players. Sure, most of the time it means they have had more practice and are more skilled. But I am sure there are many players who just play pubs and can't be bothered with the competitive scene, yet are better than the 'pro' players.

You make it sound like as soon as someone touches a scrim they become a god.

The next Korean buy-M4-for-a-week shit. Did you see what they've done with CS 1.6? Check "Counter-Strike Online".
